Our Pubmed importfilter imports the specific PubMed IDentifier (PMID) of each comprised PubMed reference into the URL field of the corresponding endnote record. The unique PMID may be used to generate the well-known SFX form (that leads you so comfortably to the corresponding electronic full text or the place of the print journal in the library).

In order to 'empower' endnote records (imported from PubMed) to this SFX functionality one should insert a phrase before the PMID in the URL field. You may copy the complete hrase from the line just below ....

.... and place it - as just said - before the PMID in the URL field. In order to carry out this for the set you just imported from PubMed in Endnote one should:

• Menu: References
• Choose: Change and Move Fields
• Change: "Author" to "URL" in the pull down menu
• Choose: "Insert before fields text" option
• Unmark: "Include a space after the new text"
• Paste: the before mentioned phrase in the TextBox
• Click OK
